Anthropic released Claude Opus 4.7 on April 16, 2026.
Claude Opus 4.7 is the Anthropic model launched on April 16, 2026 as its most capable model for complex reasoning and agentic coding, at the same $5 / $25 per million token pricing as Opus 4.6. It added task budgets in beta, which give Claude an advisory token budget for a whole agentic loop, high-resolution image input up to 2576 pixels on the long edge, and a new xhigh effort level for long-running agentic and coding work. It introduced a new tokenizer that produces roughly 30% more tokens for the same text. On launch day Claude in Amazon Bedrock opened to all Bedrock customers with Opus 4.7 available self-serve. Fast mode came to it in research preview in May and was removed on July 24, 2026.

Opus 4.7 includes API breaking changes versus Opus 4.6: setting temperature, top_p or top_k to a non-default value returns an error, and Anthropic published a migration guide for upgrading.
New with this model: task budgets (beta), the xhigh effort level, image input raised from 1568 to 2576 pixels, and the updated tokenizer.
