Google Gemini released Gemini 3.1 Pro on February 19, 2026.
Gemini 3.1 Pro is the Google model released in preview on February 19, 2026 as the latest iteration in the Gemini 3 series, designed for tasks where a simple answer isn't enough. Google highlighted code-based animation (website-ready animated SVGs from a prompt), complex system synthesis, interactive 3D design and creative coding. It is available in the Gemini app, NotebookLM, the Gemini API in Google AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Google Antigravity, Android Studio, Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise. A separate gemini-3.1-pro-preview-customtools endpoint is better at prioritising custom tools. In March 2026 the Gemini 3 Pro Preview was shut down and its id now points to 3.1 Pro.
